

November 19, 1937 - May 23, 2024.
He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Parents were Francisco and Leonarda
(Navarro) Galdeano. He is preceded in death by Lupe, his former wife of 18 years and mother
of his three boys. He is survived by his current wife, Dolores and three sons: Robert (Meredith),
Larry (Mary), and Philip (Meyling); three stepchildren: Sandra (Monseise), Victoria, and Pablo;
nine step-grandchildren; two step-greatgrandchildren.
Prior to enlisting in the U.S. Air Force he worked for an air conditioning company in San
Antonio, Texas where he met and married his first wife Lupe Torres. He served 29 years in the
Air Force including a deployment to Vietnam followed by tours at Grand Forks AFB in North
Dakota, with his twin brother Ralph, Kincheloe AFB in Michigan, Offutt AFB in Nebraska,
Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Belgium and Kelly AFB in Texas.
Jesse achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and his military awards include: Defense
Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal and
seven additional unit and campaign awards.
After his time in service to our country he met and married his second wife Dolores Alvarado.
He also worked for 20 years in promotions for his long time Air Force buddy and compadre Mike
Hernandez. He was a devout member of Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church and
volunteered on occasion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great friend. He
will be dearly missed by all.
The rosary was held at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM at Resurrection of the Lord
Catholic Church, 7990 W. Military Dr., San Antonio Texas 78227 on Wednesday May 29th.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at the home residence of Jesse Galdeano
following the mass at 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM.
INTERMENT: July 26, 2024, 9:00 AM, Fort Sam National Cemetery with full military honors.
