Jesse Torres entered into eternal rest on July 6, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 29, 1944 to mother, Maria Del Socorro Torres. A proud Air Force veteran, devoted brother, and the go-to handyman for just about everyone who knew him, Jesse lived a life full of love, service, and unforgettable memories.
Jesse served honorably in the United States Air Force, stationed in Guam and various locations across the U.S. His time in the military laid the foundation for a life built on reliability, discipline, and generosity. After his service, he went on to work at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, dedicating many years of hard work until its closure and his retirement.
Jesse was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures—especially reading and visits to the coast. The beach was his happy place, and every trip came with countless snapshots. He was adamant about documenting every moment through his camera lens, never missing a chance to capture his loved ones in action and create memories that would last a lifetime.
Known in the family as the one who could fix anything, Jesse was the dependable handyman who answered every call, showed up when needed, and never asked for anything in return.
He will be reunited in heaven with his mother, Maria Del Socorro Torres; grandmother, Estefana Torres; aunts, Gabina Arocha and Maria De La Paz Bosquez; and uncles, Guadalupe “Lupe” Torres and Eusebio Arocha.
Jesse’s legacy will be remembered by his loving wife, Maria Eulalia Muñoz Araiza de Torres; children, Catherine Torres (Roland), Cecilia Torres, and Alexander Torres (Melanie); grandchildren, Ian, Sophia, and Scarlett. Siblings, Guadalupe Estrada (Raul), and Gilbert Ramon (Alicia); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He touched countless lives with his helping nature, steady hands, and generous heart. He was a man who showed love through every action, repair, and photograph. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends, who will carry his memory with love and gratitude.
