

He joined Our Lord and his loving wife on February 27, 2022 at home surrounded by family at the age of 93. He was born to Fortunato and Maria M. Cantu on April 12, 1920 in Laredo, Texas.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Gloria C. Cantu (wife) Sisters: Juanita C. Garza, Concha C. Villela
and Angelica C. Stanley.
Brothers: Augustine Cantu, Raul Cantu and Fortunato Cantu Jr. He is survived by his son J.R., sisters Mo Villarreal, Licha C. Dickenson and brother Martin Cantu. Also many nieces, nephews, extended family plus a host of friends.
He was enthusiastic about his service with his time served in the U.S. Air Force between 1946-1949.
His studies and travels earned him several diplomas. He mastered many skills.some were even Top Secret!
Adding to his incredible life Jesus married the love of his life, Gloria I. Cuellar in 1951. They were married for 66 years. Their only child J.R. was their pride and joy. Gloria supported Jesus through his every endeavor. Included are his career at Kelly Field, starting a family business, investing in real estate and the stock market. His passion for hunting was shared with his best friend Eddie Dunn for decades.
Jesus will be honored with the celebration of life on what would have been his 94th birthday April 12, 2022.
