Jesus R. (Jesse) Rico

November 10, 1928-August 2, 2015

Jesus R. Rico (Jesse) died peacefully on Sunday August 2, 2015 at the age of 86. He was born in San Antonio, TX, a proud graduate of Fox Tech, formally known as "Tech".

He had a 22 year career in the Army. Jesse was stationed in England where he met and married his lovely bride of 63 years. He served in Vietnam and Korea as well as being stationed in various places around the world.

6 Kids later, Jesse retired from the military life in San Antonio, where he started his second career of 27 years in construction.

Jesse is preceded in death by his oldest son, Richard Rico. He is survived by his wife Peggy Rico, daughter Rebecca Meza (Patrick Meza), daughter Kathleen Efird (David Lomax), son Steven Rico (Kendra Rico), son Thomas Rico, and son David Rico, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grand children, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Jesse enjoyed being a member of the VFW American Legion Post #171 with meetings at Alamo Post 2 on Fredericksburg Road for many years, woodworking his many projects as gifts for family and friends, and attending family celebrations. Jesse had a kind and generous heart and was always there when you needed him. We will miss him greatly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough.
