Jimmie Rodriguez

Mr. Jimmie Rodriguez went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother Mercedes Zamora and father Aurelio Rodriguez; brother Alfonso Rodriguez; sisters Theresa Martinez and Mary Louise Guardiola and is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Leonor; a sister Ruth Salinas and his children: Marie Sanchez (Rogelio), Martha Gallegos (Roland), Jimmie Rodriguez Jr. (Cindy), Genevieve Perez (Felix), and Ralph Rodriguez. Jimmie was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was a 1947 graduate of Fox Technical High School and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. For 36 years, he was a sheet metal worker at Kelly AFB.

As a devout Catholic, he served as a Religious (CCD) Educator, Men's Club Member, bingo caller, Crucillista and a Knights of Columbus Member.

His family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hunter's Pond Healthcare Center for their caring service.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 19th at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd. from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM.

On Friday, October 20th at St. John Berchmans Church, Mass will begin at 10:00 AM with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
