She was born on March 9, 1954 in Heidelburg, Germany to a military family. She was raised in San Antonio and graduated from Edison High School in 1972. She loved playing softball and baseball.
At age 26, she moved to California and met the love of her life, Gary Deitz and they lived there for the next 30 years. Before retirement, she worked at Universal Studios; she relocated back to San Antonio to be near family.
She loved her family, friends and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents, Herman and Sarah Buckley; her brother, John Buckley; father-in-law, Jerry Deitz and sister-in-law, Gloria Buckley.
She is survived by her brother, Jack Buckley (Sharon); nieces, Natalie Gill (Chris), Danielle Buckley and Tina Dawn Dickson; nephew, Christopher Buckley; great nephews, Wyatt, Haydin and Ryder Gill; mother-in-law, Elsie Deitz; sister-in-law, Carla Pool; her beloved cat, Soleil; and numerous family members and friends.
