Joe R. Benavides born on March 25, 1930 in Panna Maria, TX went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2013 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his son, Joe Benavides Jr. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Benavides; daughters, Sylvia Rodriguez (Javier), Linda Reyes (Tony), Elida Saucedo and Carol Benavides; son, Robert Benavides; also, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Eva Resendez. Visitation will begin at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday April 3, 2013. Visitation will also be held Thursday April 4, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday April 5, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.3
