Joe C. Rodriguez Sr.

Joe C. Rodriguez, age 71, of Somerset, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 14, 2025. Born on October 1, 1953 in Rossville,Texas. Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Joe is now at peace with Jesus, embracing the eternal life that he so faithfully believed in.

For 33 years, Joe worked as a mechanic at Zachry Construction Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Joe could be often found outside, tending to a project or lending a helping hand to family and friends.

Joe always put family first, a devoted Christian,he sang praises to God until the very end, exemplifying his faith and love for the Lord. Joe lived his life in faith and love, always putting the needs of others before his own. His kindness, and unwavering support for his family and friends will be profoundly missed.

He is survived by his spouse, Janie Rodriguez; his daughters/partners, Bertha Pacheco/Steve Pacheco and Mary Cardenas/Rudy Cardenas; his sons/partners, Peter Rodriguez/Angelica Rodriguez and Joe Rodriguez/Ruth Rodriguez; and his cherished grandchildren: Joe Rodriguez III, Andrew Rodriguez, Rosslyn Rodriguez, Elijah Rodriguez, Israel Pacheco, Madison Pacheco, Makayla Pacheco, Rudy Cardenas, and Abby Cardenas. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

Joe C. Rodriguez will be remembered for his loving spirit, his commitment to his family, and his steadfast faith.

A visitation for Joe will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, April 1, 2025 a Chapel Service will be held on 10:00 AM with interment to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Poteet, Texas.
