He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Paula Zurita, daughter, Cynthia Ann Z. Cruz and sisters, Rita Trevino and Olivia Lopez.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Louise Zurita; children, Sylvia Ann Zurita (Steve), Diane Z. Gonzalez (Robert), Joe R. Zurita (Rhonda), Edward R. Zurita (Mimi), Mary Louise Zurita and George L. Zurita (Diana); siblings, Teresa Oliva, Enriqueta Moreno and Raul Zurita.

Joe is also survived by 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will leave the funeral Home at 1:15pm for a Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
