'I only knew Mr. Bitter thru my friendship w his daughter Tracy when I attended St Peters Catholic School. I would walk over from my house on College Blvd to their house on Castano Ave for play dates & he was always so very nice to me. I do remember Tracy dealing with juvenile diabetes & not really understanding it but remember the sugar free treats at her house....I see that Mr Bitter was so active in the juvenile diabetes Association which makes me very happy as I am now raising my 6 yr old granddaughter Lyla who was diagnosed with T1D 6 mos ago & have been thrown into the 24/7 job of monitoring this overwhelming disease for this precious brace little girl...Thank you Mr Bitter and Tracy for helping to find a cure I now pray everyday for one ...Martha Obermeier Martin'

Triple always made sure my mother-in-law got out in the boat after she was widowed. He always seemed happy and upbeat. I so appreciate him taking my grandchildren salmon fishing. My first friend at White Lake outside the family was Joella. She and John were so kind and friendly. Triple emulated their graciousness and sincerity. He left a big footprint on our hearts.'

'I did not know Trip as a personal friend. But I knew him as a giant among men. We "competed" against each other over many years at different 4-H/FFA youth livestock auctions. When the auction got into the waning stage and prices were dropping, Trip would look at me and me him and we would "bid" against each other until we got the price up to a respectable number for some young man or lady to feel like all the hard work and hours were worth it. Some times I bought but most of the time a smile from him conveyed to me he was happy where we were and he bought. What a heart! What a man! Rest in peace,Triple.'
