John Parsons Bres

John Parsons Bres, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 after a long illness. He was born on September 14, 1953 in Washington, DC to parents, Frances (Griffin) and Edward S. Bres, Jr. John was a graduate of Trinity University and Robert G. Cole High School. An electronics engineer, John was a career civil servant with the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio after military service in the U.S. Army and work with Ford Aerospace. An Army dependent, John had lived in in the Washington, DC area, Taipei, Okinawa, tidewater Virginia, and San Antonio. Military service took him to Ft. Gordon, GA. He also lived in Northern California and Northern Virginia before returning to San Antonio to work for the Air Force. A member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in San Antonio for many years, John was an enthusiastic choir singer and dedicated Sunday school teacher. John was also a life-long aviation and space enthusiast and an avid reader.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Col. Edward S. Bres Jr., MD, and Frances G. Bres, and his sister, Nancy T. Mulenex. he is survived by his children Daniel P. Bres, wife Jenny and their five children, daughter Emily Mae Bres, twin brother Robert A. Bres, brother Edward S Bres, III and wife Susan. The family wishes to thank Lisa Janes of Dignified Care, her son Brian and staff for many years of dedicated care that enriched John's life during his long illness.
