

Keith spent most of his life in San Antonio, Texas and was fifth generation Texan. His paternal grandfather, Clinton Giddings Brown, had served as Mayor of San Antonio from 1914-1917. Keith graduated from Jefferson High School and attended UT-Austin briefly. He served in the US Air Force; however, he spent most of his career self-employed working outdoors in the junk and metal recycling business. Mr. Brown lived his life as a naturalist, always planting a garden and trees, raising animals, and he loved swimming and being in water with his family. He constantly planted trees from seed that included many varieties of citrus. Keith was a competitor and loved any game but especially playing poker and other card games with his friends and peers.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Dix and Robinson “Bob” Brown, children, David Robinson Brown and Jennifer Winters Faltys, and sister, Ruth Brown Nutt. Keith is survived by his children, Maureen ‘Mo/Momo” Brown Harrison, John Keith Winters, Kristen Powell, Kathleen “Kit” Taylor and Nancy Fessenden Struble, stepchildren, Aaron Winters and Daryl Binford, and brother, Michael Reed Brown, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:30pm to 4:30, Friday, February 10, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave. Everyone will have an opportunity to share your memories and/or thoughts. The service, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, will be officiated by Zet Baer, Celebration Circle, San Antonio, Texas.
