He was preceded in death by his son John R. Davis. He is survived by his brother Tom Davis and wife Sara, Longview, TX; sisters Lynn Godfrey of Houston, TX, and Ann Armintor, Monroe, LA; son Jeff Davis and wife Amy of Frisco, TX; daughter-in-law Maria Davis, San Antonio; grandsons Jeffrey Dylan and Jake Davis, Frisco, TX, Thomas Davis, Tyler, TX, Bret Armintor, Monroe, LA, Chris Godfrey, Austin, TX; and granddaughters Katherine Hosking, Denver, CO, Allison Caulder, Dallas, TX, and Claire Schlesser and husband Tom from New York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Jay Morgan, Sarah Lane, Oliver, Jennifer Madeline, Emma, Catherine, Andrew, Bliss, and Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 17, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
