'It has taken me a couple months to be able to write on here. My heart is still heavy & saddened by the loss of my big brother, Mike. I think about him every single day and wonder why he had to leave us so early. I also think about all the wonderful memories we all made together. I remember him taking me to Bullis Park to teach me how to drive a stick shift in the baby blue Mustang, and once he bought the truck it seemed like everywhere we went he let me drive that too. We made lots of memories building bonfires, and sitting around them all night long, telling stories & "fire walking" until the sun came up. He was always very protective of me when I was little, and even after I became an adult. It didn't matter who I was hanging out with, he always let them know they would be dealing with him if anything ever happened to me. Mike supported me when I was pregnant with Kylie & when he met her the day she was born he had the biggest smile that I will never forget. I saw that same smile the day Nathan was born & knew he was going to be an amazing dad.

'You will never know the sorrow and love you left behind. We will always remember you and you will always remain a cherished part of this family. I wish I could have helped you more when you needed it. We will never forget you and you will be in our thoughts and prayers everyday. The last words you said to me that morning was "Thank You Dad" At first I didn't know exactly what you meant. I do now know what you meant, you were saying goodbye, goodbye now, I thought all was going well until that dreadful call a few hours later, and now I will have to settle to having you deep in my heart.
