John Morton Jackson

John Morton Jackson passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 88. John is survived by his daughters, Linda Jackson and Theresa Sharp, his grandchildren, Melanie Espinoza, Susan Harr, Lauren Johnson, and Samantha Sharp, and great grandchildren, Calista Harr and Tristan Allen. He is also survived by his nephews Mark and Scott Jackson and his nieces, Lisa Greene, Jennifer Jackson, and Jessica Shewey and many other loved ones, including Howard Greene, Donnie Sharp and Pablo Espinoza. He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Dahlia Jackson, his father, James Jackson, his mother, Katheryn Shewey, and his siblings, Bill Jackson, Cheryl Greene, and Kenneth Shewey.

John grew up in Indiana, where he met the love of his life, Dolly. They married and raised their two daughters in Greenfield, Indiana. John enjoyed his career as a lab technician for Eli Lilly pharmaceuticals, where he proudly was involved with the development of a polio vaccine. John loved to play his trombone and played it nearly every day of his adult life. He was loving and gracious with everyone he met and lived a long and very full life. Our family is grateful to know that John has gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Services will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary West on June 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm and all are welcome.
