John was born in Lafayette, LA on November 29, 1944.
He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Minter, Jr.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Jackie Minter, daughter, Michelle Bell, and grandson, Alex Bell. He is also survived by his mother, Louise Minter, sisters, Betty Baker and Nannette Phillips, and brothers, Thomas and Danny Minter.
John loved and was loved by his many friends and neighbors and will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
John's hobbies were golfing and woodworking. His joy in life was in sharing his works of art with his many friends. John excelled as a storyteller and will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
