He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Tabak; nephew, Brady Rickman; and "Aunt" Patty Rickman.
John is survived by his mother, Elsie Tabak; sister, Debra Tabak; sister, Karen Rickman and husband, Robert Rickman; nieces, Kaitlin and Megan Rickman; and nephew, Todd Rickman.
John was a devoted Spurs fan, proud long-time member of the Baseline Bums, Silver Stars fan and loyal to the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching Disney movies, and going out to eat. He was a blessing to all of those who were lucky enough to know him and was an easy person to love. We will miss his childlike spirit and sweet smile.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 pm on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
