John Shannon Young passed away on Friday morning July 3, 2009, at the age of 62. He worked as a Broadcasting Engineer for over 25 years retiring in Corpus Christi, Texas. John also retired from the Air Force in 1971. John is survived by his lovely wife of 30+ years, Yolanda Young; daughter, Daise Adell Young; son, John Shannon Young Jr.; sisters, Alice Simons, Mary Rothfeld; brother, Robert Young; sister-in-law, Celia Young; brother-in-laws, Don Simons, Len Rothfeld. John is also survived by his extended families Arredondo's, Castillo's, Pelayo's and Martinez's as well as the many friends he made through his lifetime. In lieu of flowers, the family request all donations be given to your local food banks.
