

Johnny B. Moreno, III, age 55, passed away while his loving family was at his side, on Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born in San Antonio to parents, Johnny A. and Irma (Ballestero) Moreno. Johnny graduated from Burbank High School in 1980, went on to UTSA before beginning his 20yr career with Southwest Airlines. Johnny loved to travel and spent most of his life experiencing the world and tapping into his passion for food. If he wasn't traveling, he was fishing, making BBQ with family, or enjoying time with his large circle of dear friends. After his retirement, Johnny received his Culinary Degree from St. Phillips College. He co-owned the Grayson Street Eatery, where he loved to display his talent of good cuisine in a chic warm environment. Johnny was a God-father to his niece, nephew, & great nephew and that meant the world to him to be a mentor and best friend.
He is survived by his parents, Johnny A. Moreno, Jr and Irma B. Moreno, sisters, Debbie L. Ayala and Brenda J. Moreno; niece, Marissa Lynn Ayala; nephew Joseph M. Jimenez; great-nephew Timothy Elijah Velarde, and 20yr. life-long partner, Dr. Oscar Montiel. He is also survived by a large family of beautiful Aunts and Uncles: Gloria(Malcom) Keating, Marylou(Louie) Morfin, Della Moreno, Sylvia(Jimmy) Vasquez, Ida(Mike) Guerrero, and Linda Margie Carreon. As well as numerous cousins and their families who are near and dear to his heart.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm., Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary.
