

Johnny graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia, Michigan in 1967. Johnny attended Henry Ford Community College for one year and completed his Mathematics degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1971. Johnny joined the US Air Force after graduating, moving to San Antonio and becoming a Programmer at the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory. Johnny left the service in 1975 but remained at the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory working in the Civil Service. Across his career, which spanned military service, civil service, government contracting, and a return to civil service, Johnny evangelized the discipline of Occupational Analysis and continued to support organizational and individual performance improvement in a variety of forums.
Johnny had a passion for perpetual learning and collected a sizable library of books and educational courses. Johnny volunteered as a Science Fair judge and co-wrote over 30 publications on his areas of expertise. He shared this knowledge and passion for learning with all his children and grandchildren.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Weissmuller; children, Adam Weissmuller and wife Debbie, Holly Weissmuller; grandchildren Abigail Weissmuller, Morgan Weissmuller, Andrew Weissmuller; brother, Phil Settles; brother, Kurt Weissmuller and wife Diane; and many stepchildren and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Adam and Jean Weissmuller; his first wife and the mother of his children, Priscilla Weissmuller; his second wife, Nancy Weissmuller; and his third wife, Lynda Weissmuller.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Johnny’s life on Friday, January 17th from 2pm-4pm in Club 22 at The Towers on Park Lane, 1 Towers Park Lane, San Antonio, TX 78209.
