Jonathan attended St. Gregory's Elementary School and Antonian College Prep, and had a UTSA Bachelor in Political Science.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the first gulf war. Jonathan lived for many years in Wisconsin before moving back to Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, John G. Pettit; and brother, Martin C. Pettit.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Marie Claude Pettit; son, Timothy R. Pettit; daughter, Lindsay L. Pettit, and their mother, Lisa Alberts Pettit; brothers, Charles J. Pettit and Christopher J. Pettit; nephew, Christopher Jean-Claude Pettit; sister-in-law, Mariza Boone.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
