

He worked with VIA Metropolitan Transportation for 35 years and was a member of the Two Million Mile club. Jose was an avid golfer, liked playing pool and was an Aggie fan. He also loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Barrera and Remigia Loredo Barrera and sister, Virginia Barrera.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sally Ann Palomo Barrera; daughters, Yvette Barrera and fianc, Israel Isaiah Anzualda and Yvonne Salinas and husband, Jacob; grandchildren, Jacob, Jr., Alexis and Brenna; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Davian and sister, Alfonsa Rosales. The family would like to express many thanks to his nurse Sandra Bravo and the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their care.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
