Jose Maria Martinez

Jose Maria Martinez, also known as Joe, entered into the loving arms of our Lord on May 10, 2024 at the age of 70. He was born on August 22, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Elvira Nava and Alejandro Martinez.

Jose graduated from Burbank High School in 1972. After his graduation he started work at Levi’ where he was able to work for over 23 years with the company. Jose had a passion for cars, he built model cars, collected Hot Wheels and never stopped working on his vehicles. His truck was his true love. Besides all his cars, Jose loved the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a game.

Joe will be reunited with heaven with his parents; Elvira and Alejandro, sister; Estefana Martinez Mondragon; brothers, Alejandro “Alex” Martinez and Carlos Martinez.

His memory will forever live in his siblings, Guadalupe Martinez, Inez Robles, Andrea Dimas, Antonio “Tony” Martinez and his honorary son, Benny Martinez . His numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A mass of the resurrection will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St John Berchmans Church, 1147 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226. A committal service will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
