Mr. Mendiola was a local businessman of many talents, with a passion for family, friends and politics.
He was a WWII Veteran and was Past President of the Pan-American Optomist Club.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 48 years, R.O. "Cookie" Mendiola; sons, Jose Marco Mendiola and Mario Jorge Mendiola; daughter-in-law, Andrea Albidress Mendiola; grandchildren, Andrea, Rebecca, Christopher, Carlos and Marco; sisters, Aurora Valero, Carmen De La Rosa and Amelia Mendiola; step-sister, Emma Lee Zapata; numerous nieces and nephews.
