Jose Luis Trevino

At 92, Mr. Jose Luis Trevino Sr. (Welo) was taken by the Lord into eternity on November 1, 2015, is survived by wife of 72 years, Gloria Maria, two daughters Gloria Silva and Laura Elena Hernandez and husband Gus of San Antonio, TX and two sons Jose Luis Trevino Jr. and wife Carmen of San Benito, TX and Gerardo (Jerry) Trevino and wife Diane of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. We are all honored and blessed to have known Welo, a man of peace, strength, wisdom, and of strong faith in God. Welo’s childhood was in Monterrey Mexico, came to the U.S. becoming proprietor of a plumbing contracting company in Harlingen, Texas, and has been residing in San Antonio for the past 8 years. We rest assured he will continue to guide all of us from paradise. Welo had a loving and positive impact on all he came in contact with. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Jose Luis Trevino has requested that donations be made to the Eric Daniel Hernandez Memorial Scholarship Fund at The University of Texas at San Antonio: https://giving.utsa.edu/ericdaniel The scholarship was established in honor of his grandson, Eric Hernandez, who was a Mechanical Engineering student at UTSA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 7 at Sunset Northwest Funeral home at 2:00pm in San Antonio, Texas.
