Since the age of two his home has been San Antonio, where he attended Brackenridge High School. He served in the National Guard and, in partnership with his brother Clifton Lindsey, owned and operated Lindsey Oil Company for 34 years. Joseph learned he had terminal pancreatic cancer upon his retirement in 2007.
Joseph will be remembered and loved for his wonderful sense of humor and his caring nature. Hunting was his favorite lifelong endeavor, and many thanks to his son Clayton for helping his Dad enjoy these last two seasons. He will be truly missed at the family card games and by his many friends. His faith never faltered; he was a man among men and a gentleman among women.
