

Jovita Fe Monforte was born in Oka Tamuning, Guam on June 25, 1959 to Roberto and Josefa Monforte and passed away in San Antonio, TX on November 11, 2014. Jovita had 2 Master’s degrees one in Special Education and one in Education. She worked for the Guam Department of Education. As a programs coordinator she headed the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Autism Program and the Blind Program on the island of Guam. She also taught in San Antonio at St. John Berchman Catholic Church School.
She is survived are her husband of 21 years, Jeffery Argumedo; her mother, Josefa Lujan Cruz Monforte; brothers, Anthony/Joan Monforte, Robert/Cathy (Deceased) Monforte. Sisters Manding/Joe Bradney, Elanie/Gene Crabtree, Barbara/Alec Algin; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 501 North St. Converse, TX 78109. Per her request she will be cremated and returned to Guam.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
