

Granny - Loving, beautiful, faithful, adventurous, fearless, dependable, generous, thoughtful, graceful and admirable.
Juanita “Bitsy” Reding Condra (Granny) was called home on Sunday, March 15, 2026 with her children by her side. She was born January 15, 1939 in San Antonio, TX to the late L.W. and Martha Reding.
Bitsy loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and that love shone through to everyone she knew by the love she had for them. She was passionate about making life special for everyone around her. Bitsy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 25 years. She attended the Chapel Unity Sunday School class and enjoyed visiting homebound church members.
Bitsy graduated from Burbank High School in 1958. While in the 8th grade, she met a handsome young man, the star running back of the football team, Earl Wayne Condra Sr. Bitsy and Earl were life-long loves. They married on August 2, 1958 and were married for 62 years before he passed away on July 8, 2020.
Bitsy was a devoted Civil Service employee, serving for 35 years. She retired in 1994 from the Air Force Security Service as Director of Contracting. When she retired, Bitsy was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award. That service award applied to her personal life as well. Bitsy certainly was most fulfilled when she was serving others with joy!
Her friends and family fondly remember Bitsy for her spunk and sparkle. She enjoyed playing board games and card games, traveling, socializing with her friends at The Towers, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren!
Bitsy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, L.W. Reding Jr. (Bubba). She is survived by her children, daughter Luci Condra and husband Charles Saenz of San Antonio, and son Wayne Condra and wife Jackie of Hallettsville; grandchildren Christopher and Adrian Saenz of San Antonio, Wesley and Sarah Condra of
Weatherford, and Lauren Condra of Victoria; great-grandchildren Gideon Condra of Weatherford and Regina Walthers-Saenz of San Antonio and many other loved family members and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78223.
A private burial will be held on Thursday, March 26 at
10:00 am at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78226. At 12:00 pm, a Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 319 E. Mulberry, San Antonio, Texas 78212, for all family and friends with a reception immediately following the service.
Pallbearers: Christopher Saenz, Regina Walthers-Saenz, Wesley Condra, Gideon Condra, Rex Reding, and Josh Reding.
