Judy had a great life. She was a much loved only child, a high school cheerleader, and a nursing student while her beloved Bill served in the Navy. They married in 1950 and lived the American dream in upstate New York, and eventually in Houston and San Antonio. Judy enjoyed her careers in nursing and mothering. She could put all the snowsuits, hats, boots and mittens on 4 kids, take them off 4 sodden messes 30 minutes later, serve up a great casserole at 6 on the dot, and still look chic. She loved an adventure and was always planning her next trip.
Judy joins her husband Bill, who passed away almost 2 years ago.
She is survived by 3 of her 4 children, Deborah (Nick) Bradshaw of Wimberley, Randy (Lynne) Dodge of Round Rock, and Sue (Kenny) Wright of San Antonio, and daughter-in-law Lynn. Her oldest son Bill is probably hugging her right now. Judy adored her grandchildren and kept track of their every move until her last day. To Ben, Nathan, & Lauren, Jenny (Nels) & Jessie (Branko), Dayton & Connor, and Hailey, Grammie was brassy and hilarious and not like other grandmothers. Her sassy wisdom lives on in them.
