We come together today to celebrate the life of Judith Yvonne Frausto, affectionately known as Judy, a beacon of love and generosity whose life was marked by the joy she brought to those around her. Born on November 8, 1940, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Judy embarked on a journey that would span over eight decades, culminating in a peaceful passing due to natural causes on April 7, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.
Judy's story is one of warmth and devotion, as she navigated the world with a selfless heart. She shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Shirley Jones, and found her life's partner in her husband, Benjamin Luna Frausto. Together, they built a family foundation that would stand the test of time, raising their eldest daughter, Felicia Celeste Frausto, and their youngest, Vida Mia Frausto, with the same love and care that Judy embodied.
Her legacy continued to flourish through her beloved grandchildren—Rudy Benxamin Medina, Myra Feliz Medina, Joshua Caleb Frausto, Jacob Aidan Frausto, Scarlett Morales, Hazel Morales—and was further enriched by her great-grandchild, Ezalayah Celestine Quijada. Judy's love knew no bounds, and her family was the true testament to the life she so beautifully curated.
A woman of many interests, Judy's passion for reading books was only matched by her love for the silver screen, where she cherished moments at the movie theatre with her grandsons. She found joy in the thrill of thrifting and the excitement of slots at the casino. In her spare time, Judy could often be found indulging in the heartwarming tales of the Hallmark channel.
But perhaps one of Judy's greatest joys was found in the kitchen, where she poured her heart into cooking for family and friends. Her recipes were more than mere meals; they were expressions of her boundless love and a way to gather her loved ones close.
Those who knew Judy would describe her as the epitome of loving, generous, and selfless. Her presence was a comforting embrace, her smile a source of unwavering encouragement. She navigated life's highs and lows with grace, always putting others before herself and leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
As we reflect on Judy's remarkable life, we are reminded of the beauty of a life well-lived—a life filled with laughter, kindness, and an unending capacity to love. Though she has left this world, the memories she created will continue to inspire and guide us.
Judith Yvonne Frausto's journey on earth may have concluded, but her spirit remains a guiding light—a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the lives of her family and all who were blessed to know her. We bid farewell to a remarkable woman, whose life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family. Judy will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on, as vibrant and nurturing as ever, in the hearts of her loved ones.
