Julia R Castro

December 20, 1929-August 25,2022

Julia R. Castro entered into the loving arms of our Lord on August 25,2022 at the age of 92.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Castro, parents Justo and Maria Rivera, son David Castro Jr. and numerous brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara De Rosa (Giuseppe), son John Castro (Teresa), grandchildren-Darlene Castro, David Castro III (Erica), John Castro Jr., George De Rosa (Amy), Christopher Castro, and Marc De Rosa, Great- grandchildren Soleil and Rhapsody Castro, Sophia and Giuliana De Rosa and numerous nephews and nieces.

She graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1949 and had a long career as a civil service employee at Lackland AFB and Fort Sam Houston.

She loved to socialize and meet new people, always dressing perfectly for any occasion. She enjoyed water aerobics and dancing along with playing bingo and bunco. She cherished spending time with family and friends.

Visitation September 15th - 6-7 pm and Rosary at 7pm - Sunset Funeral Home Mass September 16th 10-11am - St Anthony de Padua Catholic Church followed by Burial Service 11:30 am Fort Sam Houston Cemetery
