Julia Brandt Scheibe

Julia (Judy) Elizabeth Brandt-Quin Scheibe passed away in her sleep on January 29, 2022. She was born in San Antonio on June 13, 1933 to Gail Burke Brandt and Janice Houston Brown. She is survived by her son, Charles K. Quin Scheibe and daughter, Janice Scheibe Williamson and husband, Howard F. Williamson, granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Williamson and husband, Cadence Hartman Bailey and great granddaughter Alexia Luna Bailey. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Fred Scheibe, Jr., her parents, and adopted father Mayor-Judge C. K. Quin. Judy and Fred were sweethearts through Jefferson High School, San Antonio College, UT Austin and St. Marys. In the Korean War Fred served as an instructor in the USAF at Lackland AFB. They were members of St. Marks Episcopal Church. She was very involved in her community with the Conservation Society, SA Garden Center, Opera Guild, Symphony Society, DAR, DRT, Daughters of 1812, charter member of The Colonial Danes Chapter XXVII, TPEA, Castle Hills Womens Club, CH Garden Club and many more. She enjoyed

any time spent with the family and especially going for rides in the country. She will be missed by all who knew her. She never met a stranger and had a smile for most everyone she met. Services will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary on Wednesday, February 9, at 1:00pm with visitation at 12:00pm that day. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Witte Muesuem, San Antonio Botanical Gardens, or the Gonzales Animal Shelter.
