She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a loving wife, a devoted daughter, and a loyal friend. Her life was characterized by joy, compassion, service, wisdom, and truth.
Julie had practiced medicine in San Antonio for nine years. Following graduation from Texas Tech University, she completed her medical studies at Southwestern Medical School and Vanderbilt Medical School. She was a partner in the IMED.
Julie is survived by her husband, Ben Abbott; her parents, Jack and Jan Lunsford; two sisters, Kay Browning and Sharon Frey, and four brothers, Thomas Lunsford, David Lunsford, Randy Lunsford and Jim Lunsford. In addition there are twenty-two nieces and nephews.
