Julie was my co-host on deportes 23. A local sports show in the 80's. She had an excellent on air personality. We traveled to different cities covering sports. Our ratings dipped when she left the show. We worked well together. She was a fine lady.

'Jules, we met when we were 14 or so at Horace Mann. Managed to stay in each other's lives before cell phones, social media, etc. You were always one of my essential people when I made it home to SA. So grateful for the time we did have. You and our little circle were some of the first people I ever let into my double life of don't ask don't tell. Seems like so long ago but times were so different so I thank u for being one of my best long time, almost 45 years, friends. I miss u but c u f I catch an improv group, see an odd public school outfit, or just see a kind person. Will never forget or stop loving u as the sister I could share anything with.'

It is one of my favorite Miss Julie memories. We didn't prepare for our scene so we made one up..on the spot. No one thought that what we were doing was not a published play..we created a writer, characters and plot...and we passed! I didn't meet up with Julie until many years later when she was part of The Oxymorons Comedy group. We looked at each other and then it dawned on us that we knew each other from all those years ago. What a moment from our younger college days past! Julie was a very creative person and such a joy to be around. I was blessed to have her as a friend. My heart is sad for the loss of such a talented, sweet, caring, and loving person- always friendly and positive. Rest In peace Miss Julie.'
