June Iris Moss Gueringer

June was an educator in the Edgewood Independent School District, first as a high school chemistry teacher, and later as an administrator and curriculum developer. Her belief in lifelong learning extended into retirement as she cultivated an interest in art, literature, and design. She inspired all who knew her to continue learning throughout their adult lives as well. In addition to her intelligence and pursuit of knowledge, June will be remembered for her humor and compassion. June was a fun-natured, quick-witted person who enjoyed travelling as well as spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gueringer; children, John Kirby and Kathleen, brother, Charles Moss, and her parents.

June is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Hamilton; granddaughter, Jenifer Hernandez, husband Victor and great-grandson, Javier Hernandez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78232. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A reception will follow.
