Jung Ja Hutchison

Jung, also called Sally, was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Most importantly, she loved and served her God and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart. She dedicated many years of service as Elder, treasurer, and humble servant to her beloved church and church family at the First Korean Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.

She is preceded in death by her husband Erskine Hutchison, and daughters Tamiko Perez and Esther Jayne Stewart.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, June Elizabeth Barrera and husband Dan, April Maria Lewis and husband Roland, and Grace Stewart and husband Steve; grandchildren: Christian, Margo, Courtney, Jeremy, Megan, Joshua, Amber, Zena, and Kaylee; 10 great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. Celebration service will follow immediately after the visitation from 6:30pm-7:30pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel.

A committal service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:30am. Please arrive at the funeral home no later than 8:45am to join a procession which will be departing at 9:00am.

Sally was loved and cherished by so many and will be greatly missed.
