Justin Aidan Urive began his beautiful journey on February 1, 2010, bringing endless joy to his parents, Vanessa and Ismael Urive III. From the start, Justin filled their home with light. He adored his big brother Jacob and later embraced his role as a loving older brother to Julian. Their bond was one of laughter, teasing, and deep, loyal love.
Throughout his 15 years, Justin had a gift for making people feel welcome. His kind and caring heart, his easy smile, and his contagious laughter left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether with family, friends, teammates, or even someone he had just met, Justin had a way of making people feel seen and included.
Basketball was Justin’s greatest passion. He could often be found on the court—whether playing for his outside team, representing his school, or shooting around with friends just for fun. Some of his happiest moments were spent playing alongside his dad and brothers, where the games were filled with competition, jokes, and pure joy. Those shared moments on the court became cherished memories for all of them. The game brought him joy, but even more, it brought him connection.
Justin also discovered a love for photography. He had an eye for capturing the energy and emotion of the moment, whether it was his teammates in action or friends simply being themselves. It became something special he shared with his mom. The two of them bonded over looking through his photos—moments frozen in time—and she loved seeing the world through his eyes.
Off the court, he loved spending time with his family and friends, and most nights ended with him relaxing on his Xbox, chatting and laughing with the people he cared about.
Tragically, Justin’s bright, promising life came to an end on November 29, 2025. He leaves behind his parents, his brothers, his grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins, extended family, and countless friends who loved him deeply.
Justin’s absence is immeasurable, and his presence will be forever missed. Those who knew him will carry his warmth, kindness, and spirit with them always.
