Born on October 25, 1941, in Neosho, Missouri, Karon's early years were the foundation of a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.
Karon's journey led her to the love of her life, Patrick, with whom she built a family that included their sons Michael, Brian, and David. Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, nurturing her children with the same love and grace that she extended to everyone around her. As a mother-in-law to Michelle and a doting grandmother to Corey and Conner, she continued to spread her warmth and wisdom.
In the embrace of her siblings, Errol (deceased), Sharon, Mike, and Denise, Karon found strength and camaraderie. Together, they shared life's countless joys and challenges, always supporting one another with unfailing compassion.
Karon's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. As an active member of the Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, she lived her beliefs through service and fellowship. Her commitment to her faith community was unwavering, and she was a cherished figure within the church walls and beyond.
Her dedication to service extended into her involvement with the Wesley Community Center and the Salvation Army, where Karon's efforts made a tangible difference in the lives of many. She believed in giving back and did so with a generosity of spirit that inspired all who knew her.
The Boy Scouts of America also benefited from Karon's volunteer spirit, as she supported this organization designed to help young individuals in developing the skills and character to become successful leaders of tomorrow. Her influence on the youth she encountered was profound and lasting.
Karon's artistic soul found expression in her love for quilting, sewing, and embroidery. Her hands skillfully created works of art that served as expressions of her inner beauty, each stitch a testament to her meticulous nature and creative flair. Her gardens were another canvas, where the splendor of nature bloomed under her careful tending.
In San Antonio, Texas, where she passed away, Karon left behind a community enriched by her presence. Her gentle spirit and intelligent approach to life's challenges were hallmarks of a life well-lived. She approached every person and every situation with a loving heart, and her legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
