Katherine O. Richardson

Katherine Orrick Richardson, age 97, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2024, from natural causes. She was born in Brownwood, Texas on May 6, 1927, to S.P. Orrick and Pearl Fox Orrick. She grew up in Mena, Arkansas and moved to San Antonio, Texas in her teens and graduated from Burbank High School. She also attended Baylor University. She was married to her husband, John P. Richardson, for 56 years and helped him run their businesses: Richardson Insurance Agency and M&S Lawn Supplies. She enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, doting on her granddaughter, and was involved with her church, First Baptist, for many years.

Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mays McCarter; daughter Lana Kuehne and granddaughter Katherine Kuehne; nephews Bruce (Sherry) Fowler and David (Sunny) Fowler; great nephew Reid (Kristin) Fowler along with other cherished nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Richardson, son-in-law John C. Kuehne, and was the last surviving sibling of 12 brothers and sisters, including her beloved sister Wanda Orrick Fowler.

A private family graveside memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America or the First Baptist Church of San Antonio.
