

Colonel Kathleen T. Condon, USA (Retired), passed away on October 15, 2015 at her home in San Antonio, Texas. Kathleen was born on June 3, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Thomas M. and May Condon. She grew up in St. Louis and graduated from St. Mark’s High School. After high school she attended Webster College, now Webster University, and worked as a dental assistant before she entered St. John’s Nursing School in St. Louis where she received her RN. She later received her BSN from Syracuse University and went on to achieve her Master’s degree as well. She joined the Army in 1960 worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse and Nurse Administrator. She completed her education through various Military Education Courses including Anesthetist Nurse Course, Management Mass Casualty Course, and several others. She received a number of Decorations, Medals and Campaign Awards, including Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Legion of Merit and others.
She is survived by her sister Yvonne and her brother Kevin, both of St. Louis, Missouri, and by her nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to the service of others, and once she retired enjoyed her time traveling and visiting with friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz, San Antonio, Texas 78209 on Monday November 9th. Committal Service will be held at 11:30am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
