

Kathryn was born December 7, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated from St. Henry's High School.
She married John B. Stoner on January 28, 1952. She worked for over 14 years at Kelly AFB as a typist.
She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and an enthusiastic member of the Holy Spirit Altar Society; Guadalupe Circle, and Assumption Associates since 1968. She worked tirelessly to raise money to support seminary and church functions.
She will be remembered as a fun-loving, kind and cherished friend, loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was an avid Spurs fan.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John B. Stoner; sisters, Eva Marty and Adelida Dury; brothers, Cornelius Marty and Joseph Marty; mother, Adeline Marty; and father, Charles Marty.
She is survived by her loving brother, Lucian Lou Marty of San Antonio; children, Dena Stoner of Austin, John and Patrick Stoner of Houston; cherished granddaughter, Amanda Stoner; nieces, Barbara Daniels, Dorothy Cowling, Kathy Colliander, and Mary Middleman of San Antonio; nephew, Thomas E. Marty of San Antonio; numerous devoted and loving friends and neighbors.
We will remember her warm smile, the scent of her fresh baked bread, the sight of her garden of roses, succulents and tropical plants. Mom, we love you and will cherish your memory forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to Assumption Seminary.
