

On March 7, 2015, Kathryn Marion Thompson passed away at the age of 101 - three days short of her 102 birthday of March 10, 1913. Kathryn was the daughter of Mary Agnes Black of Sandusky MI and Alois P. Eyth of Mt. Clemens, MI. She was the devoted wife of the late Wilbur C. Thompson and the mother of Russell L. Thompson (wife Susan), Mary Kay Otto (husband Howard), Anne Marie Takach (husband Douglas), Paul J. Thompson (wife Barbara) and Stephen J. Thompson (wife Elizabeth).
Kathryn is survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren: Christopher Thompson (wife Allie) (4 children: Hannah, Abigail, Christopher Jr. and Payne), Karen Thompson (husband Daniel Pacheco) (3 children: Alejandro, Isabella and Maximo), Jeanne Hicks (husband Cory) (2 children: Jordan and Noah), Mathew Otto (wife Liesa) (1 child: Ty), Kerry Babb (husband Paul) (3 children: Ian, Andrew and Trice), Julie Hudson (husband Michael) (1 child: Olivia), Kurt Otto (wife Nixie) (1 child: Everley), Chad Takach (wife Cabell) (1 child: Emma), Jay Takach (wife Maggie) (1 child: Samantha), Ryan Takach, Evan Thompson and Stephen Thompson Jr.
Around 2000, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to be closer to her family, where she settled in at Independence Hill. Although she no longer was able to play golf, she still stayed active playing cards, going to concerts, traveling to far off places and going to visit her children and many grandchildren. About ten years ago she moved to the Laurels. As a warm and generous person, Kathryn will be missed by her family and many friends from Michigan, Florida and Texas.

Viewing will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
Rosary, Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00 PM in the Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel. Mass Wednesday, March 11 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Rd.
Kathryn will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan at a later date.
