

Kay was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to Perce and Mildred Miller on 19 October 1949. She attended School in Pottstown, PA. She married the love of her life Frank Manuel Duarte on 7 December 1972 in Las Vegas Nevada. She graduated from Regents University and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She served honorably in the Army National Guard for 5 years and received an Honorable Discharge.
Kay Duarte is preceded in death by her husband Frank M. Duarte, her father Perce Miller, her mother Mildred Miller, her brothers, Dave Miller, Ronald Miller, Dennis K. Miller, and Barry Miller.
Kay Duarte is survived by her daughter Caryl and her husband Robert Taylor of San Antonio, Texas, her daughter Tammy and her husband Mark Schmidt of Charles City, Iowa, her son Dennis Duarte and his wife Erica Taylor of Georgetown, Texas, her brother Paul Miller of Scranton, Pennsylvania, her grandchildren, Alejandro and Adrian Perez, Serena, Tristan and Tawny Schmidt, and Brooke and Allison Taylor, and her loving Pomeranian Yogi, and her 6 other fur grandbabies.
Visitation will be held 6-9 pm on Monday August 5 at the Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
The funeral services for Kay M. Duarte will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Chaplain Val Van Dress from JBSA Fort Sam Houston will officiate the service. The interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. The family will provide details regarding the timing of the interment once arrangements are finalized.
