My most sincerest condolences to Norma, Vanessa, Saleen and family. I am grateful to have spent time with Kelly as a friend all these years. How lucky that we all have been touched and loved by our amazing Kelly. She is no longer with us here on this earth but she has truly left her mark here. Her life will always be celebrated the way she lived it, with joy, love and laughter. We will always keep her memory alive and she'll always be with us in our hearts.

My most heartfelt and sincerest condolences to the Alvarado family.  Saleen, your mom was extremely proud of you and everything you had accomplished. I hope that you carry that with you, always.  I also pray that our Lord brings you comfort in time with the loss of such a beautiful soul. My family met Ms. Kelly at Sunshine Cottage. She was an absolute delight and just loved on my children! She was so vibrant and fun and her goal was to always make all of the children so comfortable and to laugh. She never failed! Christian would ask me to buy her a breakfast taco every now and then.  He was always open for her hugs no matter how big he got or how hard she squeezed! Then when Sebastian joined Sunshine, she fell in love with little Christian as she would often call him. They of course bonded and he too would ask me to pack an extra bag of Cheetos because he had to share with Ms. Kelly at lunchtime ❤.  Sebastian's loving nickname,  Nacheeto was born. Christian was already nicknamed Nacho. When I lost my father almost 2 years ago, she was genuinely comforting and cried with me saying it would be hard because she knew the feeling all too well, but she would pray for our family's strength. I believed her and her heart of gold. She was a ray of sunshine at Sunshine and her smile will be forever missed. I learned today that her birthday is the same as Christian's hearing birthday. She found a way to say, see, we're even connected by that! 😊 Know that we will celebrate you on this special day too Ms. Kelly!  Watch over us.  Until we meet again. Love always, the Govea family 💜

I met Kelly while she worked at Garner Middle School. We instantly clicked, she became a mentor to me. She also helped me through a rough patch in my life. I’m forever grateful for our friendship. We didn’t see each other often, but in the past couple of months we reconnected. God saw fit to bring us together again for the laughs and memories.  Saleen, she was so proud of you and your accomplishments.  Ms. Norma and Vanessa, you have my sincere condolences.  

K! You’re in my heart always and forever my friend. I can still hear your laugh and it makes me smile. What a gift our friendship was; priceless! I'm still in shock, I've known Kelly since second grade, she was awesome.
She was always happy. I love you kellogs.  

Kelly is one of the first people I remember working with when I started graduate school practicums at Sunshine Cottage. She was working with Jenn Shell in their preschool classroom and I would frequently volunteer when they needed extra help. For the last 3 years, Kelly and I worked together providing morning care and we grew even closer. I looked forward to her laugh and watching her interact with the kids every day. They all loved her and I can’t tell you how many times students would bring her tacos for breakfast just because they knew how much she liked them. Kelly was a momma bear to all and I will miss her greatly! My prayers are with her family, especially Saleen. She will always be in our hearts! 

I will always be so grateful & thankful for Ms. Alvarado to have been a part of my Carlo's life. He loved her so much. He loved her fettuccine and always went to her when he needed a tooth pulled out. My prayers and thoughts are with her and her family. We love you Ms. Alvarado ❤️

Kelly was always smiling! I did not work directly with Kelly  but she had several
Of my students after we had them in the 4s. I especially remember her work with our guy Logan. She was patient and so caring of him. Kelly was such an addition to our family at Sunshine. She will be missed by all of us. I know she is with our Lord. My heart goes out to her family. 

I will keep Kelly and her family in my heart and prayers. She was a strong, vibrant, young woman. She will be missed by me and so many others. I see Kelly's bright, smiling face every day in my mind's eye.  I have visions of Kelly walking the Sunshine Cottage hallways smiling and laughing like she did every day. I would like to first and foremost send my deepest Condolences to Mrs. Alvarado's daughter and family. I Have great memories with her, she was my Son Josephs Teacher last year with Mrs. Leblanc & Them two were the biggest support system i had during that difficult year when i lost my oldest Son. Always an ear to listen and the sincerity was never questioned. she laughed and cried with me on many occasions and was such a blessing to Joseph and our family. She will be dearly missed. i am so sorry that your family is going thru this and i will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Losing a Mother, Sibling, Child, Friend is NOT Easy but May the Lord keep you all during this difficult time. Kelly was a dear friend to me. We may not have talked every day,  oh but when we did we would cut up! I am truly,  going to miss the Rodeo excitement with her. Kelly and I looked forward to attending the San Antonio Livestock Rodeo every year for many years. We would have our boots shined, arrive early, and stay late gazing, at the Cowboys. I crushed Leon Coffey the, clown and so did Kelly. We would often joke about that! Kelly, you have always been such a beautiful soul with a kind smile and a heart to match. You will truly be missed. I remember meeting Saleen before meeting Kelly. I believe she was in Sarah McLinden’s 2nd grade class the year I did.
