Kendra Brown Sawyer

Kendra Brown Sawyer, 59, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 19, 1960 in Beaumont, Texas to Kenton Guyler Brown and Mary Self Stuart Brown. Kendra attended primary school at Colegio Nueva Granada, Bogota, Colombia, and later attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, before entering the business world. In recent years, Kendra enjoyed serving as a volunteer at Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA), traveling with her husband, taking Girls’ Trips, and spending time with her family and “granddarlings.” Kendra lived life to the fullest and she brought joy and hope to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kendra is survived by her husband, Jim Sawyer; sisters, Kathryn Brown Martin and Karyn Brown Burkhalter; step-son, Robert David Sawyer; nephews, Kenton Frank Gray, Drew Ehren Burkhalter, Trevor Bradley Burkhalter, Carter Lee Sawyer and Dillon Lee Sawyer; nieces, Christi Cooper Smith and Meagan Sawyer; grandchildren, Camaryn Janell Sawyer and Landon Robert Sawyer; aunt, Loretha Faye Baker; and many extended family members and amazing friends.

Rev. Carl Rohlfs will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Kendra Sawyer in support of Dr. Sato's Uveal Melanoma Research at Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.
