Kenneth Shilling Peters

Kenneth Shilling Peters entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2017 at the age of 66. He was born on August 29, 1950 to James Howard and Helen Peters. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; Harold and Hester Peters, Mattie and Raymond Shilling, brother; James R. Peters. He is survived by his brother Gordon Peters (Debbie), Nephew: James Peters (Kate), Nieces; Mary Helen Peters (Reggie), Patricia Lewis (Charlie); grand-nephews: Taylor Lewis and Kaleb Lewis and other loving family members and friends.

Kenneth was a Razorback Alumni and a teacher for over 20 years at Northside ISD, Somerset ISD, and San Antonio Academy and overseas in Saudi Arabi. He taught English, Writing and the 3rd grade. He was known for his love of classical movies and listening to Julie Andrews. His biggest accomplishment was becoming Deacon at Alamo Heights Baptist Church. Kenneth was a humble and self-less man that will be greatly missed.

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 8:30am at Sunset Funeral Home with a prayer services to be performed at 9am with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kenneth’s name to the San Antonio Light House or a charity of your choice.
