It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Ian Rosales Villamin, beloved husband, father, son, teacher, and friend, who left this world too soon on July 12, 2025, at the age of 42.
Kevin was born on July 10, 1983, and brought joy, laughter, and light to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelo de Leon Villamin, whose memory Kevin carried with him always.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lutgarda Rosales Villamin; his loving brother, Kristoffer Villamin; his devoted wife, Michele Priddy Villamin; and his cherished children, Madyson Villamin and Marcelo Villamin, who were his pride and joy.
Kevin’s passion for learning and growth led him to pursue higher education with dedication and purpose. He studied Kinesiology at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with the Class of 2006—a proud Longhorn through and through. Later, he earned a degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, Class of 2019. He was also a proud graduate of Mayde Creek High School, Class of 2001.
His career path reflected his deep commitment to education and community. From his early days at Sports Authority and Academy, to his role as a Physical Education Paraprofessional in Katy ISD, Kevin always put people first. His calling as a Special Education Teacher at North East ISD in San Antonio from 2023 until his passing was a testament to his patient, kind, and compassionate heart. His impact on students, families, and colleagues alike will never be forgotten.
Kevin lived life with enthusiasm and heart. He loved traveling, golfing, cooking, popping fireworks, working out, and spending time with his family. He had a deep passion for the Longhorn Band, and was a loyal fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and of course, Disney—especially when it came to sharing the magic with his children.
More than anything, Kevin will be remembered for his magnetic personality and his ability to unite people. He had a unique gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and inspired. He brought out the best in others with his encouragement, mentorship, and unwavering positivity. Whether in the classroom, at home, or among friends, Kevin made every space brighter.
Kevin was a devoted husband, a nurturing and fun-loving father, a loyal son, and a true friend. His contagious smile and unforgettable laugh will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
