LaVerne Sullivan McCracken Loessberg

LaVerne Sullivan Loessberg, 89, of San Antonio, passed away March 1, 2010 at her home. She was born on July 20, 1920 in Hardin County, Kentucky and graduated from Vine Grove High School. LaVerne was the daughter of Edgar McCracken and Emma Jean Mayhugh. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 47 years, James G. Sullivan of Vine Grove, KY and second husband Clarence Loessberg of San Antonio. LaVerne is survived by her children, Jeanne (Jim) Kepler of Pitsburg, Ohio, Judy (Dr. Don) Ery of Belpre, Ohio, Jim Jr. Sullivan of San Antonio and Joe (Anna) Sullivan of Middletown, PA, and devoted daughter-in-law, Sue Sullivan of San Antonio. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Remember, Grandma, We also “Love You the Most”. LaVerne’s priorities were family, church and community. She lived this creed and loved serving all. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Friday, March 5, 2010. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2002 Bandera Road, with Rev. Jean Ann Karm and Rev. Bert Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family request memorials be sent to St. John’s United Methodist Church or charity of your choice.
