

Lavonne Anette Blackmon, age 60, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Paul Blackmon for 35 years. Lavonne was born in San Antonio on April 27, 1955 to Daniel and Lena Andreas.
Lavonne graduated from Edison High School in 1973 where she was a spirited member of the marching band, cheerleading and drill teams. Later, she graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She worked as a medical technician for 37 years at Christus Santa Rosa, downtown.
Lavonne's hobbies and talents ranged from decorating elaborate cakes, to her athletic pursuits in volleyball, softball, and swimming, to her love of fishing. She was also a long-time Girl Scout troop leader, where she was able to share her love of the outdoors, creativity, and joy in serving others.
Lavonne is survived by Paul Blackmon; daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Vello Selli, and daughter, Brittany Blackmon; two brothers, Dwight and Preston Andreas, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
