Lawrence Patrick Duross, born on March 16, 1947, in Biddeford, Maine, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2012, at the age of 64 years after a short battle with cancer. He served four years in the United States Army, and later moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he worked in Security at USAA for 25 years up until the time of his death. His hobbies were flying model airplanes and spending time with his grandchildren. He was the youngest of four children. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Annette Duross. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Duross; children, Karl Wright, Eric Wright, and Leslie Lee and her husband Jason; 8 grandchildren; brothers and their wives, Robert and Charlotte Duross (San Antonio), Maurice and Carmen Duross (Saco, Maine), and James and Sandy Duross (Biddeford, Maine); a niece and three nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. that same day at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
